"This book had everything, it is funny and steamy and I just loved it." - Reviewer. Theodore Ellis. Men want to be him, and women just want him. He’s the entrepreneurial bad boy, the tabloids darling, and as infamous in the bedroom as he is in the boardroom. What happens when a player meets his match? Lilly Parker throws down a gauntlet Theo can’t help but pick up. The deal? No strings. It should be so simple. Hearts will become dangerously besieged, and walls will be battered to the ground. Love is a war. She who dares wins.

Henry VII's New Men and the Making of Tudor England

Author: Steven Gunn

Number of pages: 352

The reign of Henry VII is important but mysterious. He ended the Wars of the Roses and laid the foundations for the strong governments of Henry VIII and Elizabeth I. Yet his style of rule was unconventional and at times oppressive. Some paved the way to glory for their relatives. Sir Thomas Brandon, master of the horse, was the uncle of Henry VIII's favourite Charles Brandon, duke of Suffolk. Sir Henry Wyatt, keeper of the jewel house, was father to the poet Sir Thomas Wyatt. This volume, based on extensive archival research,...

G. R. Elton's Policy and Police, first published in 1972, has since acquired classic status in the literature on the government of sixteenth-century England. The book examines what actually happened during Henry VIII's break with Rome, the widespread resistance which necessitated constant vigilance on the part of the government, and the role of Thomas Cromwell, whose surviving correspondence permits a detailed insight both into the purposes of government and the manner in which it was experienced by the people.
